Food - Although we began this page concentrating on wine, there has been an increasing demand for recipes for food we have served to people at home or for dishes we have taken to the numerous bring and share meals we have enjoyed in France.  So here is our recipe page.

Wine

Since we began to visit France regularly in 2003 we have developed our love of and interest in wine, exploring individual makers and their products in our travels especially through Champagne, Bourgogne, the Rhône and the Languedoc, as well as pursuing our interest in the wines of the world through the exceptional international markets and sales outlets of UK supermarkets and specialist wine suppliers.  On these pages you will find:

• An expanding range of French and other European favourites give details of our explorations in the past year and more.

• The wine notes pages have some technical details and explanations, but they are not meant to be comprehensive and they also contain some book recommendations for more thorough and reliable information!

• Jon's wine diary describes some of our recent wine experiences.

The Wine Society - a never-failing source of good and often excellent wines.  You used to have to be a member to access this site but now it is open though you must join to buy, which is easy to do.
