Photography
Jon is a keen photographer, using digital cameras since
the late 1990s. He currently uses a Panasonic Lumix FZ 18 and previously a Fujifilm
S5000; their main benefits are high quality images and a powerful optical zoom
- the Panasonic provided an increase in image quality over the Fuji and even
greater (18x instead of 12x) zoom which offers better wide-angle as well as
distance shots.
Most of the photographs on this site are taken by him, or
occasionally by
Mary. However, others (such as the birthday party photos) were taken by Helen Voce;
John McKean, Jeff Davenport and Kate Davies have also contributed. Thanks to
all.
Until 2009 I uploaded all photos to the site. I
still do this to illustrate diary entries, and these individual photos are not
listed here. This page lists albums: earlier ones are stored here on the
site, more recently I've used Picasa (Google) web albums. You can also
find photo albums on my facebook page - you need to be(come) my Facebook Friend
to see these.
